A Digital Time Capsule

Presenters: Alan Levine

The StoryBox is a digital time capsule that traveled over 15,000 miles around the USA and Canada. Based on the PirateBox technology (developed by speaker David Darts), it is a self-contained digital exchange that advertises itself via a local ad hoc wireless network. People in the vicinity have the ability to anonymously share  and download digital content but since it is not on the Internet, the only place to interact with it is while in its vicinity. In this session you can explore the content on the box, add your own, and discuss potential ways you might use this device for your own teaching.
