MBA Course Innovation: Learning Organizations and Knowledge Management

Presenters: Margaret Mi

The MBA course in Learning Organizations and Knowledge Management required students to work in teams to research one of four topics, either tacit knowledge, social networks, knowledge transfer or diaspora networks. Student teams researched the history of the topic definition and then found definitions from five authors, compared these definitions and then created their own definition. Next, teams had to find two issues that were published by at least five other authors and give their opinion of what the issues mean. Lastly, the teams gave examples of companies that excelled or failed at their topic. Their findings were presented in class via Power Point slides and embedded media.
